Joseph Woll wasn't the only problem for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, but he still got the early hook.
The 27-year-old goaltender was pulled early in the second period against the Winnipeg Jets after he allowed four goals on 18 shots. He was replaced by Dennis Hildeby.
Woll gave up two goals late in the first period, then after Auston Matthews brought the Leafs within one early in the second, another two quick goals for the Jets saw his night come to an end.
Woll wasn't solely to blame, as some shaky D-zone coverage from the Leafs also contributed to the goals.
The disappointing start for Woll on Thursday comes one game after arguably his best performance of the season, when he stopped all 33 shots in a 4-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
With Anthony Stolarz dealing with an undisclosed injury, Woll has handled the majority of the goaltending duties for the Leafs over the past couple of weeks.
Woll entered Thursday's content with a 2.51 goals-against average and .923 save percentage over 13 starts.
